The kitchens and breakfast room was gutted down to the studs. The bar sink and wine glass cabinetry were removed. New floor tile meets new handscraped wood flooring in many other rooms of the house.
New double paned windows above kitchen sink and in breakfast room, and ultimately for the rest of the house resulted in less heat gain, less street noise coming into the house and lower electric bills.
New Formal Dining Room Switched Places with Formal Living Room
The original formal living room was a larger room with a fireplace and larger windows. It moved to the original formal dining room to become a small sitting or reading room.
Base cabinets with a granite countertop, installed along one wall created a serving buffet that also provides plenty of storage. The new formal dining room allows for a larger table with more chairs to enjoy dinner with more family and friends!
The old, acrylic whirlpool tub was replaced with a smaller, slide in soaker tub. This allowed for larger footprint in the new shower. The pony wall alcove in the shower now includes a bench. New full height vanity cabinets, with new countertop, sinks, faucets, and framed mirrors complete the new Spa!
